Arizona Heritage Center

The Arizona History Center is a public space featuring over a century worth of Arizona’s history, introducing guests to both the present and past work and life of Arizonans. There are tons of things to do while you are here; you could take an up-close and personal gander at a WWII training aircraft, go retro as you hang out in an old-school general store, or go back in time as you discover how the sprawling Phoenix metropolis all started.

This space welcomes people of all ages, and from all walks of life. Not only is it a museum, but also an events destination, and a place for community engagement. Arizona Heritage Center has a focus on the 20 th and 21 st century history. The exhibits here will take you on a sort of chronological trip ranging from the early settlements’ days, to WWII, to the post-war era.

Learn about the rise of the desert cities as you delve deep into Arizona’s pop culture. The extensive gem and minerals collection at the museum take you on a journey on Arizona’s geology. This is represented through stunning displays of minerals, rocks, fossils, meteorites, and other collectibles from Arizona and across the globe.

Tucked away in the edge of the stunning Papago Park, Arizona Heritage Center will expose you to lush greenery, desert landscaping, and scenic vistas. The Heritage Center offers a variety of event and meeting venues to suit every need. The Brick Courtyard, for instance, is perfect for receptions, weddings, private parties, and corporate functions.

Here, you can enjoy stunning views of Papago Park, magnificent sunsets, a beautiful granite water feature, soft lighting from overhead string lights, and so much more.

At the edge of the Brick Courtyard lies the Glass Pavilion; a space with a stunning built-in marble bar alongside 4 sets of double glass doors. It is ideal for intimate dinners, bridal showers, and other functions. If you have a large number of guests, be sure to check out the Steele Auditorium. Featuring a sound booth, a raised stage, projection, and a luxurious padded seating area, this space can hold up to 300 guests.

Families can visit the Brown Theater, a 60-people seats space with fully equipped audio-visual capabilities. If you would like a venue to hold your official meetings, lectures, or even workshops, the Roosevelt Boardroom is the ideal space for you. The beauty with this room is that it is easy to configure it in a variety of ways to suit your individual needs. It also features a microphone system and a projector.
